The country of El Pallars Jussà produces olive oil.
On many nights during harvest time, the friends of the farmer who has got paid that day gather in the olive mills of the county to have a suca. This consists of toasting garlic bread on the fire at the mill and dipping it into the container which catches the oil falling from the press. Accompanied by some local xolís (thin salami) and wine from La Conca it makes an exquisite meal.
