Isona i Conca Dellà
This municipality has been historically a pass between the Pyrenees and the southern flatlands, and there is an important and rich heritage in the area that proofs this fact. The most important village is Isona, the former settlement of Aeso, with its Roman walled enclosure. Nonetheless, you can find around the municipality different charming villages typical from the Pre-Pyrenees. Do not miss the visit to the main cultural facility of the municipality, the Museu de la Conca Dellà, where you can discover the Roman past, as well as the remains of different types of dinosaurs.
It is also remarkable the large number of Romanesque churches and castles, among them the Llordà Castle, one of the most representative of the region, the ruins of Conques Castle or the Orcau Castle.
