Description

This is the longest and most difficult of the routes proposed by the MTB Centre of El Pallars Jussà. It is though the route that offers the best opportunity to enjoy the spectacular beauty of the region. The route takes cyclists through valleys and mountains and allows them to discover medieval castles like the one at Orcau, karst lakes that are unique in Catalonia, like the Basturs lakes, magnificent Romanesque-style churches like the church of Sant Esteve d'Abella de la Conca. Finally, on the last and most technical part of the route, cyclists enter the Boumort national hunting reserve, where they may see some of its large colony of deer or birds of prey and also enjoy landscapes of outstanding natural beauty.
