Description

Located right to the north of Vilamitjana, this typical Mediterranean mountain range hosts extensive holm oak woods of great scenic value. These have also been catalogued as a selected place for the production of high genetic quality acorns, which are widely used in forestry nurseries.

Vilamitjana is the starting point of a 13 km network of surprising routes into the Mediterranean forest. You can discover its rich ecosystem and fauna, especially reptiles and Mediterranean birds, along different signed itineraries.
