Description

The Basturs lakes are one of the few karst surges in Catalonia. Due to the high lime content of the waters, there are plants and animal species living here that can not be found in other water areas in our country. It is a very unique and fragile ecosystem, protected by the PEIN (Catalan government plan to protect natural areas). You will find an adapted strolling area to enjoy a free visit to the surroundings and to a birdwatching point.

Nowadays it consists of two well formed lakes: one is almost circular shaped, bigger and with a conical basin, and another smaller one located northeastern from the former.
