Isona Museum – Cretaceous Park
Description
This museum allows you to discover an area which was long ago occupied by the Roman culture, and far before that, inhabited by some of the last dinosaurs existing on earth.
In the first floor of the museum you will see the origins of the settlement of Isona and the life of its people visiting the exhibition about this municipium of big strategic importance that had its splendour during the Roman Empire.
The Cretaceous Park wants you to travel to the Cretaceous period, 65 million years ago. In the second floor you can observe the interesting remains found in the different palaeontological sites in the area. They explain the fascinating life of the dinosaurs and the environment in which this incredible animals lived.
