Description

This itinerary follows the war remains around the Conques mountain, a strategic place with control over the road to Tremp, the reason why it was occupied by the Franco troops in April 1938. In May of the same year, fierce combats took place between Sant Romà d'Abella and the hermitage of the Mare de Déu de les Esplugues. They left a large amount of remains that can still be visited nowadays, such as trenches and bunkers.
