Description

Located at the heart of Lleida Pyrenees, this is the most genuine representation of the high mountains: its majestic landscapes and its rich flora and fauna make it unique. The park is rife with firs and forests of centenarian mountain pine and about 200 high mountain lakes, where the chamois, the capercaillie, the marmot and the emblematic bearded vulture live.

There are several routes around the park of Aigüestortes, on foot, by bike or  by 4x4 cars, both in summer and winter, at all expertise levels and in some cases they are adapted to people with disabilities.

Vall Fosca is the gate to the southern part of the only National Park in Catalonia, and its small villages still preserve its traditional charm.
