Access by track to the Filià cabin. With snow, the return is made by the sunny slope following the old path of Cabdella. This access route to the cabin serves as an approach to the itineraries of the Filià valley where we will have to add the 710m of elevation gain and 2h of ascent to the total time of each itinerary. DESCRIPTION
The starting point is the beginning of the Filià valley track with about 200 m paved initially. Depending on the snow cover, some curves can be climbed by vehicle, although it is not recommended if we want to do the circular route back along the Cabdella road.
SAFETY AND PRACTICAL ADVICE
Mostly, the proposed trace runs on Simple terrain. Only in the first area of cleared forest and upon arrival at the Filià cabin is the terrain Challenging. It should be noted that the descent via the Cabdella path is exposed to natural avalanches coming down the left bank of the valley, which, in conditions of strong instability, can reach the river. In these cases, the river would act as a terrain trap, exacerbating the consequences of the avalanche. Therefore, in situations with a lot of new snow or sudden melting, it is advisable to return by the same ascent route.
