Ambitious tour through the western sector of the Flamisell headwaters that will take us to one of the most unknown areas of the Vall Fosca on the border with the Boí valley, but at the same time will offer us great landscapes and, with good snow conditions, memorable skiing.
DESCRIPTION
From the Sallente dam we climb to Pic de l’Espasa (2547 m) (follow route 1.2). From the same summit we begin a long descent along the northwest slope with a steep slope to the vertical height of the Tapat lake at 2240 m. At this point we will be able to see some small constructions in the rubble of the hydroelectric works. We put on skins and start a long ascent in a north-west direction crossing Estany Salado and continue upstream in the same direction until a small pass (2660 m) near Estany de Dalt. From this pass we turn right and head north facing the wide slope that will take us directly to the summit of Cap de Reguera (2797 m). We start the descent from the summit itself on the north face in a northwesterly direction. After a few demanding first meters, the terrain softens and we slide down to the very bottom of the Collada de Nariolo. We will climb the 100 m that separate us from the pass (2630 m). From here we will start a long and gentle descent following the Torrent de Sallente in the lower part well enclosed between rocky walls. Once we leave the enclosed area (2150 m) we turn to the west and put on skins to climb the 100 m difference in level that separates us from Fosser Lake (2225 m). We start the descent in a southerly direction and turn to the southwest when the terrain steepens, leaving the last ravine of the Solana de Fosser to the north. This slope is quite exposed with slopes between 30 and 40 degrees up to the tail of the Sallente reservoir.
