DESCRIPTION
We go up to the upper part of the village, where the historic Boí trail leaves, which goes up the Riqüerna valley to Port de Rus. The sunny orientation of the entire route means that at the beginning of the season and in the spring we have to walk for a while before we find the snow. Tell us where the snow starts.
The path begins between the riverside forest and at elevation 1600, with enough snow, we can stop strictly following the summer path and start taking a short cut between the meadows, which will be easier to trace, especially on the way down. We will always leave the river on our left, taking care not to get trapped in its channel at any time since it is not skiable.
At the 1850 level we cross the ravine by the Pontet de Rus and access the Pletiu hut going up to the right. This is a well-marked area with vertical signage and with little snow we will be able to see some markings of the GR-11-20 on the stones.
On the way down, we will undo the way up.
SAFETY AND PRACTICAL ADVICE
The safe trace of the route always circulates through terrain classified as Demanding with little slope. It is important to inform yourself about the existing avalanche danger, since with significant problems of recent snow and wet snow, we will always be circulating between the Complex terrain of the north and the trap of the terrain that configures the riverbed itself. It should be avoided at all times
