DESCRIPTION
We follow itinerary 3.3 to the Coll de Filià (2400 m). We cross the pass and descend in a westerly direction until we reach the Manyanet river (2000 m).
We put on skins and go up the valley in a north-easterly direction up the ravine of Cap de Llevata until the north-west cirque of Tossal de Paiasso opens up on our right. At the bottom of the cirque we go up the big slope in a southerly direction until we gain the ridge that gently takes us to the summit (2772 m). We will descend through the Coma de Fuses, following the explanation of itinerary 3.4.
SAFETY AND PRACTICAL ADVICE
Check route 3.4 for advice on ascending to Port de Filià and descending from Paiasso peak via Coma de Fuses. On the other hand, the Manyanet valley poses no major difficulties as the route mostly runs through Simple terrain with some demanding sections. Only to access the peak via the NW slope, near Port de Cabeçades, it’s necessary to choose a good path avoiding the steeper slopes.
